Setting Sail on the Life you Deserve: Beachbody Successs Cruise 2016
My heart is found outside where the wind blows through my hair, the air smells so good that you can't help but take a deep breath in and feel more alive, and where every bird, sound and sweet giggles of joy can be heard from all around.
Some may not know this about me but I am MOST at peace when I can sit still outside and just BE. It almost doesn't matter whether I am at the ocean, on my deck, sitting out on a gravel road watching my dog run, or out in the bitter cold Canadian winter walking my dog --- I just simply love it. Although I haven't seen the whole world (yet!) I know that each time I travel I will find another piece to the puzzle I like to call my life.
Where my story begins
I remember thinking about starting a challenge group with my coach as I watched her lose weight and take claim of her health. I began to wonder why she was posting so much and why she was so BRAVE to be so vulnerable. [I had never taken a selfie, let alone post something on social media - yikes right!?] I decided to do a little bit of investigating! I saw that she had mentioned HER coach a couple of times so I went on to check her out too! To my disbelief she was a REAL person too! I connected with them in so many ways! Wanting to get healthy to FEEL good! They were just like me, they worked hard [one was even a teacher like me] and they found the time to get their workouts in and MAKE this new routine a LIFESTYLE! That was it, I was convinced that I could ALSO take back my health! Before I reached out to my long lost friend and tell her I was ready, I thought I would do a litttttle more snooping around and see what else these "coaches" do! Like really what makes them a coach?!
That is when I stumbled upon this incredible TRIP that my friend's coach (now my coach) went on only a month before! She went on this CRUISE as a coach for FREE ! For real -- seemed almost to amazing! So here is this girl helping people ALL online, building a business, working on her fitness, and getting to travel too?! ---- this is a no brainer right?!
I think it was a couple days later when I decided to sign up with my very own challenge pack to get my fitness going and at the last minute I said to myself, "if she can do it so can I - why not do the workouts, get vulnerable, help others and maybe create a little bit of freedom for myself too!" That was that - I signed up as a coach with NO idea about the company, business, social media or anything!
NOT EVEN TWO YEARS LATER ----
I have found myself in a full circle moment -- I am now a full time coach, helping hundreds of people, creating a life by my own design, working on my fitness, and now TRAVELING too! And guess what -- this isn't my first trip as a coach either! I went to Nashville in July of 2015 and I will be going BACK in July of 2016 too!
I wanted to share with you a little bit of our trip because it truly was life changing! I made some LIFE LONG friends, saw just how REAL this coaching thing was, and for the first time found the place that I TRULY believe I fit in! It is kind of hard to believe that lost, insecure person was brave enough to take a leap of faith that literally changed the course of my life. [high five to myself for that one]

We started off on an EARLY flight that would lead us to a NEW destination for us - Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The place where the beach never ends, the food is too good to stop eating, and adventures are to be had! Or at least that is what I had seen on google! I am one of those crazy people that must know every fact about something before it even happens! So naturally I looked up everything I could, watched every video in sight, and had already romanticized our experience in my head. It was going to be RAD.
Buutttttt.... it didn't QUITE start off that way! We arrived in Florida just early in the day and were EXCITED to get to our hotel [a well known name back home] unpack and hit the town to explore! It was going to be perfect! But as we drove in our taxi, we noticed that we were slowly but surely driving more and more into an area that didn't seem so friendly. We got dropped off and headed to our room anyway to find a space that was not only unclean but unsafe. I went into complete PANIC MODE - here we were in an unsafe place, thousands of miles from home and our trip was RUINED. Tyson quickly reassured me that we would attempt to get our money back and just find a new place! [thank goodness he is so levelheaded] We quickly went into action and found a place - a nice place at that and took off to press RESTART on this vacay! (we were unable to get our money back but we were safe -- that is what counts) We decided to call it a night and just take in a moment to feel grateful and get ready for the day ahead of us! You see we actually came up to FLORIDA EARLY to meet up with some people I kind of was getting to know through coaching! We had chatted through facebook quite a bit but now we were finally going to be able to hangout TOGETHER and our better half's would be joining us too!
We woke up the next day to a fresh start, bright skies and FUN on our mind! We headed down to the beaches to take in the tourist culture, grab some drinks, swim, and meet up with friends.
On the beach with my hubby! I am pretty sure he could have LIVED in the water! A couple times he scared me when he wouldn't get out even when the "dangerous animals" signs went up! But it was this day, right here that a BOND started between our little gain of coach friends. A bond that will FOREVER be tight! 
As the night came to an end we all went off onto different adventures! We hit up the mall of course --- because I am a girl of many shoes, outfits, and purses! It wasn't something I was willing to miss out on! [anyone else feel me? Malls are a must!]
It was kind of an exciting moment for me - it was going to be a trip of so many first for my husband! You seen the year before I took him on his VERY first trip to Punta Cana for our honeymoon! I grew up traveling and had fallen in LOVE with seeing new things, experiencing culture and feeling a little bit of wunderlust in my heart. NOW it was my turn to give that to him! So even though Tyson wasn't excited for the mall I gave him his first REAL mall experience! He ended up buying more than me and we didn't even see half the place! BUT it kind of opened our eyes to just HOW BIG of a deal everything was going to be on this trip! TOMORROW was going to be the day we got on the ship -- a first for BOTH OF US!
LET THE BEACHBODY TRIP BEGIN....
I kind of held onto the feeling of being CAPABLE of great things as we walked up on the boat and into probably the most beautiful place I have ever been. The lights. The signs. The flooring. The everything. It was stunning! --- ohhh did I mention Beachbody completed CHARTERED out this entire ship for JUST coaches and it is the LARGEST cruiseship out there! SAY WHAT! It was just so surreal!
I remember sitting there are this thing called the floating bar [a floor in the middle of the ship that would go up and down from floor 5 to floor 8 and had its OWN bar on it! As we went up and down for hours with our friends and I listened to them all talk about the people they helped and how they got here, I couldn't help but look around and think all of these [5000] people wouldn't be here unless they would have taken the leap of faith like I did. Crazy right! And to think that MANY of these people work from home, have time with their families, have retired their spouses, paid of debt and STILL are humble, honest and true to their hearts and put HELPING others at the top of their priority! I kind of was feeling pretty blessed to be surrounded by such incredible people!
Over the next five days our trip had so many incredible moments. We set sail to the Bahama's and Jamaica! FINALLY two places on my bucketlist --- CHECKED OFF!
First stop ----- Bahama's
We spent our time in the bahama's on the beaches surrounded by new coaches, veteran coaches, top coaches, coaches we knew and coaches we didn't know! But the amount I learnt was incredible! We sat back drank a few drinks, laughed, shared ideas, and just took it all in! It was a perfect day!
For the next 30 hours we were sailing out at sea-- over indulging in food and drinks while sitting in pools and hot tubs. I think this was the day that I got sea sick but managed to not miss a beat! [if you don't do well with medication don't use the patch for motion sickness --- just a tip] Day 3 on the ship honestly was so good it gave the Bahama's a run for it's money --- and that is a HARD one to beat! I started off my day with another incredible workout with a celebrity trainer, my friends, and thousands of other coaches!

THEN I got absolutely SPOILED and invited to join a 6 course meal in the FANCIEST restaurant I have even been! We are talking celebrity quality - LITERALLY! Midway through supper in walks ALL of the trainers! CrAzY right!
Okay so you know when you have DREAMED of going to a location and you spend all of this time imagining what it would be like ---- well that was Jamaica! AND ohhh was I SURPRISED! In the best way ever! We headed to this super cute little beach that required us to go down the most SKETCHY road ever! If you ever get taken down a crazy road and you think your life is going to end while on vacation ---- maybe just go with it [kind of kidding -kind of not] We were truly SHOCKED with what we got to experience! While there I got to handout with some Sea Urchin's!
Overall, going on this trip changed my life. Between the fun adventures, meeting new people, and sitting in to listen the top 10 coaches speak about their businesses --- all I could think was -- I AM BLESSED to have found this job. Everyday I wake up knowing I have the power to change some else's life and that in itself is truly amazing.
